Vegan Turkey Dinner Launches at Iceland Supermarkets for Christmas

United Kingdom-based supermarket chain Iceland recently launched an exclusive vegan No Turkey Christmas Dinner. The single-serving meal includes meatless turkey, wild mushrooms, butternut squash, chestnuts, kale, and a sage-and-onion gravy. The chain—which reported a 987 percent increase in demand for meat-free foods since 2017—offers dedicated vegan food sections and 13 clearly-labeled vegan products, which includes private-label items such as No Bull Burgers, No Bull Meatballs, No Porkies Sausages, and No Chick Crispy Fillets. In an effort to promote meatless holiday meals, Iceland also launched 15 new vegetarian products for the Christmas season. Supermarket chains around the world are developing seasonal vegan products to meet the growing interest in meatless holiday meals. This year, United States’ chain Trader Joe’s debuted a vegan Cocoa Peppermint Flavored Almond Creamer, and UK-based ASDA launched a vegan Christmas cheese board.
